Since 1987, Yunnan Paper has operated on a single conviction: that the materials we create shape the ideas they carry. Every sheet we produce is a collaboration between ancient forest ecosystems and modern engineering.

We believe efficiency and sustainability are not opposites — they are two sides of the same sheet. Our mills run on 78% renewable energy, our waste streams feed local agriculture, and our forests are managed with a 200-year horizon in mind.

Yunnan is one of China's most biodiverse regions. Its subtropical forests, abundant rainfall, and rich mineral soils produce fibres of exceptional quality. Our proximity to these resources isn't just a logistical advantage — it's a responsibility we take seriously.

Every hectare we source from is replanted within 18 months. We work directly with local forest communities under long-term stewardship agreements.

Water Responsibility

Our mills recycle 94% of process water. Remaining discharge meets Class A standards, returning to waterways cleaner than when we drew it.

Community Roots

Over 3,200 people across 14 villages depend on our supply chain. We source locally and invest in the communities that make our work possible.

We commissioned our first biomass co-generation plant in 2008. Today, our mills produce more electricity than they consume — the surplus powers three surrounding townships. Every process decision is measured against its carbon cost.

Fibre Sourcing

Certified bamboo and plantation softwood from within 200 km of our mills. Traceability to plot level.

Pulping

Closed-loop kraft pulping. Chemical recovery rate exceeds 98%. Black liquor fuels our co-gen boilers.

Sheet Forming

High-speed Fourdrinier machines with real-time formation sensors. Tolerances held to ±1.5 gsm.

Finishing

Surface sizing, calendering, and coating tailored to each grade specification. In-line optical inspection.

Dispatch

Automated roll wrapping and rail-linked logistics. Orders confirmed within 48 hours.
